1. What these terms cover
They apply to the magazine laterradipuglia.com and to its editions in other languages: laterradipuglia.it, laterradipuglia.fr and laterradipuglia.de. These are editorial sites: they write about Puglia, its towns, its food and its products.
They do not cover purchases. The online shop shop.laterradipuglia.it and the wholesale portal b2b.laterradipuglia.it are run by the same company but have their own terms of sale, governing orders, payment, shipping, returns and the right of withdrawal. You will find them on those sites, and those are the terms that apply to anything to do with buying.
The magazine has no registration, no accounts and no members’ area. Readers never need to create credentials: if a page asks you for them, it is not one of ours.
2. Using the site
You agree to use the site lawfully, without harming other readers or the operation of the service. In particular, you may not:
- extract the site’s content in bulk using automated tools, whether to republish it elsewhere or to train automated systems, without our written consent;
- reproduce the site, or part of it, in a way that presents it as your own — including by framing, mirroring or transparently proxying our pages;
- interfere with the operation of the site or attempt to reach non-public areas.
We work to keep the site available and up to date, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service: it also depends on third-party hosting and connectivity providers. A technical interruption gives rise to no claim for compensation.
3. The content is ours, and how you may quote it
Text, photographs, illustrations, graphics, video and the structure of the pages themselves are protected by copyright and belong to Laterradipuglia S.r.l. or to those who licensed them to us.
Quoting is allowed, and welcome. You may reproduce short extracts for reporting, comment or study, on two conditions: that the source is clearly stated, and that there is a direct, unobscured link to the original page. Reproducing an article in full or in substance, or translating it, is not permitted without a written agreement.
Trade marks, logos and domain names mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners.
If a photograph is yours
We normally use our own photographs or properly licensed images, and where we reproduce someone else’s picture we credit the source. Mistakes are possible.
If you recognise an image of yours published without our having the right to it, write to us at the address above, telling us the address of the page, which image is yours, and something that establishes your authorship. We will take it down, or add the credit you prefer, as soon as we have checked. There is no need to go through a lawyer: this is something we handle directly, and gladly.
4. Images generated with artificial intelligence
Some illustrations on the site are not photographs: they are images produced with artificial-intelligence tools, used where no usable photograph of a place or a scene exists. When that happens, we say so in the caption and in the image’s alternative text, and the image carries our signature.
This is an editorial decision, not a technical detail: a reconstruction must never be mistaken for a record.
5. Advertising and sponsored content
The site carries advertising served by third-party networks, including Google AdSense. Those slots are filled automatically and their content does not represent any view of ours: we have no commercial relationship with the advertisers who appear in them.
We also publish, occasionally, sponsored content — articles commissioned and paid for by a client. When we do, the article says so visibly, at the top or the foot of the text. Content without that statement is editorial.
Some links point to our online shop: these are internal commercial links, and we flag them as such in the text.
6. Links to other sites
Our pages link to third-party sites — town councils, tourist offices, institutions, newspapers, suppliers. They are there to document what we write. We have no control over those sites, their content or the data processing that happens on them, and we are not answerable for them. A link implies no endorsement of, and no relationship with, whoever runs them.
7. Practical information can change
Many pages carry dates of festivals and fairs, opening hours, ticket prices, access rules. That information comes from sources we cite and check before publishing: it nonetheless remains the decision of third parties, who may change or cancel it at any time and without notice.
Before travelling to an event, always confirm the date with the organiser — the town council, the tourist office, the parish. We cannot be answerable for an occasion moved or called off after publication.
These are our only sites
Unauthorised copies of our pages exist online, published on domains that are not ours and reproducing our content, our name and our company details. We have no connection with those sites and we are not answerable for anything published or offered on them, advertising included.
The only official addresses of our magazine are laterradipuglia.com, laterradipuglia.it, laterradipuglia.fr and laterradipuglia.de; the only ones for purchases are shop.laterradipuglia.it and b2b.laterradipuglia.it. We never ask for credentials, payment details or documents outside those addresses. If you come across a copy, please tell us: it helps.
8. Personal data and cookies
How we handle the personal data of visitors, of those who fill in a form, subscribe to the newsletter or write to customer service, is described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. You can request a copy at any time at the address above.
9. Changes to this page
We may change these terms at any time, to reflect changes in the law or in how the site works. The version that applies is the one published on this page, with the update date shown below. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting it.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Italian law. The courts of Lecce, Italy have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Consumer rights are unaffected: a consumer resident in the European Union keeps the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their own country of residence, and nothing on this page overrides that.
